The Letter of Demand Template should be used only when you have attempted multiple times to recover outstanding payments from an entity / person and they have failed to respond or failed to meet a payment plan.

Note that this letter also serves as notice to commencing proceedings, though a draft copy of originating proceedings can also prove to be an effective way of recovering funds and ideally would be sent after this letter in draft but before initiating proceedings.
